Visitor's Book

Lantern Cottage is a charming Grade II listed thatched cottage with beamed ceilings, ingle-nook and wood/coal burning stove, situated in St. Agnes.. This beautifully presented chocolate box lies in a green valley that leads down to the pretty sandy beach of Trevaunance Cove. The beach and spectacular coastline of the north Cornwall coast are approximately 400 yards away and the picturesque village of St. Agnes with her excellent range of shops, pubs and restaurants is less than 1 mile.

The property boasts a wealth of character including open beamed ceilings, inglenook feature fireplace, original panelled walls over cob, and stable front and back doors. The property benefits from larger than expected front and back gardens, neither of which are overlooked. The back garden consists of a terraced lawn and extensive planting. Towards the top of the back garden, there are some delightful Marine and coastal views of Trevaunance Cove. A patio area is provided for outside dining.

On entering the property there is a large delightful lounge with inglenook and wood burning stove inset, and feature glazed windows to front and rear. The lounge has two leather sofas, a Persian rug, colour television with video, and music system. Adjacent to the lounge is a spacious dining room, with feature fireplace and large oak dining table with seating for 6. The charming cottage-style kitchen incorporates butler sink, washer dryer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, hob and is fully equipped. There is a stable door, which leads to the back garden.

Wooden stairs lead to the first floor landing off which the three bedrooms and bathroom are separately accessed, through feature panelled doors. The double bedroom has an ornate metal bed with a voile tester, antique wardrobe and chest of drawers, and bonnet ceiling. The twin bedroom has a bonnet ceiling, with matching cherry wood bedsteads and furniture. The single bedroom has a fitted bed, and wooden furniture to match. There is also a large Victorian style bathroom, with fitted vanity unit, panelled bath with shower over. Central heating has been recently fitted to the property.

To the front of the property, there are 2 parking spaces.

We welcome a pet, for an additional £15 a week.
