How to Make a Booking

In order to proceed with a booking, if by phone we would need to send out a booking form, along with some terms and conditions which can be done by either email or normal post.
We would ask for you to read and fill out the appropriate areas and send the forms back to the office along with a cheque for either the total amount (if the holiday has been booked within 6 weeks), or a deposit cheque for a third of the total amount (the remaining balance is due 6 weeks before the start of the holiday). Or you may wish to pay by credit/debit card, then we would only require the booking form to be returned. We will send you an invoice as confirmation of your booking when we have received the deposit and booking form.
If you book online you will need to make a payment by card at that point, once you have made a payment you will receive an automated ‘Booking confirmation’ email. You will be sent an invoice and a booking form by post (if you have not completed the booking form online).

Payment Facilities

We are now able to offer online bookings, take credit and debit card payments over the telephone or you may send a cheque.
Please note that we do not accept American Express.

Party Bookings

The person booking the holiday will be known as the Head of a Party, they will be responsible for all members of the party and will ensure that they are fully aware and comply with the booking conditions. If the conditions are not met with, Mrs Bigwood can refuse right of entry, and in this situation, no monies will be refunded.
Bookings will not be accepted from persons under 25 years of age or from all male or female parties without specific agreement. Bookings are usually non-transferable and any changes to guests must be agreed by the Agent in advance.
The number of persons occupying the property must never exceed the number stated in the property description, unless otherwise agreed by the owner in advance by writing. This does not include infants who will be sleeping in a travel cot .

Number of Guests

Each of the cottage descriptions will give you a maximum number of guests allowed to stay at the cottage (babies sleeping in a travel cot are not included in the occupancy total, but we must be notified in the booking form).
Under no circumstances can this number be exceeded. If you are found to exceed the maximum occupancy of a property, we reserve the right to terminate your booking and ask you to vacate the property.
No refund of the remaining rental will be made.
