The house is full of lovely period features, including a superb inglenook fireplace in the sitting room, stone mullioned windows, exposed beams, timber floor boards and stone flagged floors.

The town is on your doorstep – Step out of your front door and wander the streets of Chipping Campden, a market town in the Cotswold district of Gloucestershire, noted for its terraced High Street, dating from the 14th to the 17th centuries. A wool trading centre in the Middle Ages.

Maybe take in lunch, afternoon tea or an evening meal in one of the many local restaurants or pubs as Chipping Campden has a variety of interesting eateries offering a wide selection of food and drink.

Outside: An enclosed cottage garden with a patio, lawn and flower borders.

Please note we are unable to supply a Barbecue.

Suitability: Children Welcome but please note that we are unable to supply a cot, high chair or stair gate.

Whilst we accept well behaved dogs for an additional cost of £50 per pet, per week or per short break stay, please contact us to check if you wish to take more than one dog.

Full Description

The accommodation sleeps up to 10 people and is arranged on 3 floors with gas central heating.

The Ground Floor:

The front door leads down to a stone flagged Dining Hall with a large oak table, seating 10, and into a Sitting Room with an imposing inglenook, beams and a stone flagged floor.

There is a large wood burning stove, three leather sofas and oak furniture.

A good sized Kitchen overlooks the back garden with a flagged floor, double enamel sink and waste disposal unit, reclaimed timber kitchen units with hardwood work tops

a freestanding Fridge Freezer, integrated fridge, Dishwasher, Washer Dryer, a four oven Aga cooker and an electric cooker.

French doors open on to a terrace and an enclosed garden. There is also a cloakroom off the kitchen.

A lovely old oak stair case leads to the first floor landing.

The First floor comprises:

The Master Bedroom with a four poster double bed overlooks the High Street and has oak furniture, fitted wardrobes and a TV plus an ensuite shower room with w.c and wash hand basin.

A second Double Bedroom also has views over the High Street with Jacobean oak style furniture.

A Bathroom with a freestanding, roll top bath, toilet and wash hand basin.

A Shower room with wash hand basin and w.c.

The Second floor with exposed roof timbers, sloping ceilings and dormer windows comprises:

A Double Bedroom with view of rear garden and beyond with an oak wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Two Twin Bedrooms overlooking the High Street with exposed roof timbers and oak furniture.

There is street parking available in the Lower High Street with a public car park not far away.

The back garden is enclosed with dining table and chairs and whilst we accept well behaved dogs for an additional cost of £50 per pet, per week or per short break stay, please contact us to check if you wish to take more than one dog.

Chipping Campden

The beautiful town of Chipping Campden is a jewel of the Cotswolds and is a very popular tourist destination, for a full holiday or just a short break. The busy town has a variety of interesting Restaurants, Tea Rooms and Country Inns offering a wide selection of food and drink.
There are numerous walks or for the less energetic a wide variety of specialist shops to browse in with a diverse and interesting selection of goods, many handcrafted and locally produced.

You will appreciate the feeling of staying in an old Cotswold stone house in a town, hardly touched by the centuries. Chipping Campden is a market town in the Cotswold district of Gloucestershire, and it is notable for its terraced High Street, dating from the 14th to the 17th centuries. A wool trading centre in the Middle Ages. Due to its central location in the North of the Cotswolds and the nearby surrounding counties of Oxfordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire it is a perfect place to stay, especially if you want to tour around and taste the ‘Olde Cotswold England’. From Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds to the south, to Worcester and the Malverns to the west plus Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick (with the best mediaeval castle in Europe) all within an hour's journey. You can enjoy the delights not only of this charming old wool merchants' town, but also venture to other nearby, famous Cotswold villages and tourist attractions such as, The Gardens of Hidcote, Sudeley Castle, Broadway, Winchcombe, Stow on the Wold, and further afield Bourton-on-the-Water.
